A glass once broken cannot be put back together. Many are of the opinion that a relationship, once broken, can never be the same again. But what happens when two ‘Broken but Beautiful‘ souls cross paths? Does their brokenness fit perfectly and fill the gaps in each other or do they continue being haunted by the ghosts of their dark past? Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi-starrer web series Broken But Beautiful explore this very aftermath of a breakup in one’s life. The first season starred both the actors as two heartbroken personalities – Veer, played by Vikrant, lost his wife to death while Harleen’s Sameera is dumped by her boyfriend of five years. The 11 episodes of season one orbit the struggles and stories of Veer and Sameera as they both try to come to terms with the loss of a significant other.
Veer’s wife passes away and ever since something inside him dies too. He uses women for his sexual pleasure, becomes somewhat cynical. Sameera turns into a ‘psycho ex’ who doesn’t leave her former flame alone after he leaves her for another girl. She keeps following him, wanting him back, leading her to disturbing levels of desperation. When Veer and Sameera cross paths, something strikes – the common thread of brokenness ties them together and the rest of the script is written on how they go about helping each other.
At the end of the season, we see Veer and Sameera at a lake. Was it their once upon a time or a happily ever after? Find out in the second season of Broken But Beautiful!
