A popular star of Marathi cinema Ajinkya Deo turns 57 today. Born to the legendary actor couple Ramesh and Seema Deo, Ajinkya made his acting debut in 1985 with Ardhangi. Since then, he has starred in several films including ones in the Bollywood as well as Tollywood industry. With his charming personality and phenomenal acting skills, Ajinkya has managed to become one of the most popular stars today. We begin the list with the thriller drama Sau Shashi Deodhar. Ajinkya plays the role of a middle-aged psychiatrist Dr. Ajinkya in this film opposite Sai Tamhankar. Dr. Ajinkya gives shelter to Shubhada (Sai) after she meets with an accident. Shubhada loses her memory and eventually falls in love with Dr. Ajinkya. 2. Vicky in Maherchi Saadi
Ajinkya also featured in the popular family drama Maherchi Saadi which went on to become the highest-grossing Marathi film at that time. The actor was perfectly cast for the role of Vicky, a doting stepbrother to the protagonist Laxmi (Alka Kubal). 3. Prataprao in Nagpur Adhiveshan - Ek Sahal
Nagpur Adhiveshan – Ek Sahal is a thoughtful film about the current political situation of Maharashtra. The film revolves around two officials who somehow manage to pull off a yearly political event that takes place in Nagpur. Ajinkya played an angry politician named Prataprao in the film. 4. Dr. Umesh Sontakke in Don Ghadicha Daav
Ajinkya featured alongside Makarand Anaspure, Sayaji Shinde, Sai Tamhankar in the thriller Don Ghadicha Daav released in 2011. The film tells the story of a mysterious murder that remains unsolved. 5. Vishwas in Sarkarnama
Sakarnama is another political drama that the actor was a part of. The film is based on the story of Vishwas (Ajinkya), the caretaker of a chawl in Mumbai. 7. Kelkar in Aan: Men At Work
Ajinkya also managed to grab eyeballs in his Bollywood debut film Aan: Men At Work. He essayed the role of a corrupt police officer named Kelkar in the venture directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. The actor rubbed shoulders with stalwarts from Bollywood like Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Irrfan Khan, and Shatrughan Sinha.
