Hutatma has a talented star cast comprising Anjali Patil, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Sachin Khedekar, and Arif Zakariathe. The series- based on the novel of the same name- narrates the story of how the state of Maharashtra came into existence with Mumbai (then called Bombay) as it’s financial capital. It depicts the story of the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement and the struggles of the Marathi manus to get independence.

2. Gondya Ala Re

Gondya Ala Re is a historic thriller action series starring Bhushan Pradhan, Kshitish Date, Shivraj Vaichal, Anand Ingale, and Sunil Barve. The story is set in 1897 when the first youth armed revolution was started by the Chaphekar brothers. This incident triggered the birth of revolutionary battles in India and changed the course of India’s freedom struggle history.

3. Auto Shankar

This web series tells the true tale of Auto Shankar, a gangster who terrorised Madras in the ’80s. It is filled with lust, deceit, betrayal and revenge. Auto Shankar is part fiction, inspired by legends about the man and partly based on facts collected from the investigation which led to his capture. The result is a discomfiting mix that at times glorifies a ruthless criminal and yet draws one into his dark world.

4. Rangbaaz

Rangbaaz is a crime thriller starring Saqib Saleem, Ranvir Shorey, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Ravi Kishan. It is a story inspired by real-life events and is set in the rustic backdrop of the 90’s Gorakhpur. Saqib Saleem plays the character of Shiv Prakash Shukla, who was a dreaded gangster in the UP. Shukla’s destiny changes drastically one fateful night when he commits a crime in a fit of rage and seeks protection under one of the most dangerous mafias of Gorakhpur. Little does the college-going youth know that his actions will only make life further difficult for him.

5. Khaar

Khaar is a docudrama starring Surendra Rajan, Sanjay Gurbaxani, Amit Singh Thakur and Tarakesh Chauhan. It narrates the story of the iconic Dandi March led by Mahatma Gandhi as a revolt after the British government imposed heavy taxes on salt. The story depicts the struggle behind Gandhi’s revolutionary idea that changed the course of Indian history and the country’s freedom struggle.

6. State of Siege

State of Siege: 26/11 is a  crime thriller series starring Arjan Bajwa, Arjun Bijlani, Mukul Dev, Vivek Dahiya, and Tara Alisha Berry. The series will remind you of all the documentaries, films, and shows based on the Mumbai terror attacks, but what’s unique about this one is that it narrates the story from the NSG (National Security Guard)’s perspective. The series will truly awaken the patriotic within you.

7. Karenjit Kaur- The Untold Story of Sunny Leone

Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone is a ZEE5 original starring the actress, along with Raj Arjun, Rysa Saujani, Karamvir Lamba, Bijay Jasjit Anand, Grusha Kapoor, Vansh Pradhan, and Marc Buckner. The biopic narrates the sensational journey of the Indian-Canadian actress and former adult film star. It will take you through the journey of Sunny’s upbringing in a middle-class Sikh family, and her makeover from being an innocent girl to an adult film actress and eventually a Bollywood star.
