20 December 2019 onwards, get ready to witness Chalbaazi Phirse, Jaanbaazi Phirse, Dagaabaazi Phirse in Rangbaaz Phirse! An all-new season of ZEE5 Original franchise, titled Rangbaaz Phirse, started streaming on ZEE5 from Friday. The crime thriller stars  Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 actor Jimmy Sheirgill as the central character Amarpal Singh. Singh plays a notorious and feared gangster of Rajasthan who is highly respected by the people and politicians of the state. Gul Panag plays the female lead while Zeeshan Ayyub, Sharad Kelkar, Spruha Joshi, Harsh Chhaya, and Sushant Singh star in important roles. Rangbaaz Phirse is essentially the story of a young guy who falls through the cracks because of politics and is robbed of his youth which subsequently ruins his life. Amarpal is #NotBornACriminal but fate has other plans for him.

A special screening was arranged for the media and celebrities from the world of entertainment a day prior to the release of the digital drama, in Mumbai. Saqib Saleem, who played the lead character in Rangbaaz, tweeed saying it is a good show. It is mention worthy that Saqib, Aahana Kumra, Ravi Kishan, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Ranvir Shorey-starrer ZEE5 Original web series Rangbaaz was a huge hit in 2018.

Reviews from various sections of the press too hailed the series in high regard. “Rangbaaz Phirse is a promising tale of a dream gone wrong, and with the right amount of story and good performance, it will make for a good binge this weekend,” wrote Filmibeat.com.

Spotboye.com too heaped praises saying, “Rangbaaz Phirse is one of the best shows made on ZEE5, and is definitely worth a watch.”

Cinespeaks, in its verdict, asserted, “Rangbaaz Phirse is filled with rowdy characters, excellent performances, faadu dialogues, powerful writing and relatable content. This sequel from ZEE5 is worth watching.”

Giving Rangbaaz Phirse a 4/5 rating, letsott.com said in its review of the series, “The plot is hooking as ever and captivates the essence and flavours of the Rajasthani gang-wars in great detail. It is interesting how the writers have tapped into a new culture keeping from the stayed ways of incorporating the gang wars from Bihar and Lucknow.”
