Legendary dance director Saroj Khan, who is known for choreographing popular songs like Dola Re Dola, Ek Do Teen, among many others, passed away on Thursday (July 2). With this news, the film industry loses yet another gem in 2020. The 71-year-old was hospitalised at Mumbai’s Guru Nanak Hospital last month (on June 20) after she complained of breathing issues. Reportedly, Saroj Khan was tested negative for Coronavirus but suffered a cardiac arrest.

Soon after the news was out, several celebrities from the film fraternity and fans took to social media to mourn the choreographer’s demise, pouring their condolences. Actors like Raadhika Sarathkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Kajal Aggarwal to Hansika Motwani, Priyamani Raj and Indhuja Ravichandran, took to the micro-blogging site to pay tribute to the ace choreographer.

On the work front, late Saroj Khan, in her career spanning over four decades, choreographed over 2,000 songs. No doubt, Saroj Khan’s death comes as a huge loss to the Indian cinema.
