We are entering the phase of Unlock 1.0 after being under a lockdown for nearly three months. It is understandable that each one of us would want to get back to our routine. But what is not acceptable is the way in which citizens are misusing the easing of the lockdown. Online pictures of the rush on Marine drive in Mumbai is proof of the same. People are not being careful despite knowing that coronavirus is still spreading at an alarming rate. Amidst this tumultuous situation, the police are doing everything they can to protect citizens. But they can only do so much and things won’t improve if we don’t cooperate. This is exactly what Marathi actress Sonali Kulkarni is trying to convey to the citizens of Maharashtra.
Watch the actress perform in a unique role in the film Gulabjaam.
Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in India. Even if the recovery rate is strong, we cannot bear to take risks at this point. Sonali took to Twitter to react to a recent incident that took place in Pune. In the Kothrud area of the city, a few drunken goons indulged in violent acts and misbehaved with the citizens and authorities. The Pune police are on the lookout for the culprits. Sonali tweeted writing, “Concerned for Pune. Huge respect for Pune City Police and more strength to them!”

The actress added that we are fighting a pandemic and thus should stop fighting amongst ourselves.
We think the actress has put forth a very necessary point. Do you support her too? Comment below!
