Mrinmayee plays the character of Savitri who is pure vegan and also a veterinary doctor. On the other hand, Satyaprakash is an electrical engineer and an environmentalist. Both of them have qualities and attitudes towards life that are poles apart and their families want them to get married. But Satyaprakash and Savitri’s different mindsets create a lot of trouble in their families. You should watch this movie to experience some hilarious scenes between the dissimilar couple!
2. Mumbai Pune Mumbai
Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai is a Marathi romantic drama starring Mukta Barve and Swwapnil Joshi. The latter plays the character of a typical Punekar boy whereas Mukta plays a modern girl hailing from Mumbai. The girl arrives in Pune to meet a prospective groom but bumps into a stranger. Later, she asks him for directions to the prospective groom’s address and ends up spending a day with him. The two get along with each other and also share stories from their life journeys.
Finally, when the girl is about to return home after failing to find the address, she realises that the stranger with whom she had been all day long, is in fact, the guy she had come to meet. Their journey is beautifully portrayed keeping the suspense alive till the very last moment.
Timepass is a Marathi blockbuster film starring Prathamensh Parab and Ketaki Mategaonkar in the main lead. It is the love story of Dagdu (Prathamesh) and Prajakta ( Ketaki). Dagdu is the son of an auto-rickshaw driver and delivers the newspaper to earn his living. On the other hand, Prajakta is an obedient and studious girl who belongs to a cultured family and has a very strict and stubborn father. One a fine day, Dagdu sees Parajakta and falls madly in love with her. He decides to impress her with the help of his buddies. Soon all his efforts prove to be fruitful as Prajakta too falls in love with him. However, their families forcefully separate the two lovers after learning about their affair. The two broken souls helplessly accept their family’s decision. The story is packed with many hilarious and emotional scenes that will keep you hooked!
Rampaat is a Marathi romantic comedy starring Abhinay Berde, Kashmira Pardeshi, Priya Berde, Abhijeet Chavan and Kushal Badrike. The story depicts the struggle that young aspiring actors have to go through to make their mark in the industry. Like many youngsters, Munni (Kashmira Pardeshi) and Mithun (Abhinay Berde) are aspiring actors and they dream of becoming big stars someday. But immediately after their first audition, they realise how tough their journey is going to be. It’s interesting to see if the youngsters keep going or they pack their bags and return home. Gulabjaam is a Marathi comedy-drama starring Sonali Kulkarni and Siddharth Chandekar. The film’s title is named after one of the most popular Indian desserts. Aditya’s quest for learning Maharashtrian food leads him to Pune where he meets Radha, who is proficient in making traditional recipes.
