Missed out on Tovino Thomas Starrer ‘Kalki’? Watch it here:

Kalki, directed by new comer Praveen Prabhakaran, tells us the story of Nanjankode, a village destroyed by political turmoil and now under the control of a corrupt political party. The police is incompetent and the situation has worsened after the death of the superintendent, who commits suicide after feeling helpless at the state of affairs there. Tovino Thomas steps in as inspector K, and becomes an obstacle, between the party and their evil objectives.

Kalki according to Hindu mythology, is the saviour who appears after Kaliyuga, to save man from all evil. He is a warrior and is considered to be the last avatar of Vishnu. Inspector K (Kalki), essayed by Tovino, is shown in a similar light,  where he sets out on a mission, to rid the village of all evil and save the people from being controlled by a corrupt political party. The absorbing screen presence and unconventional dialogue deliveries from Tovino’s inspector K, makes Kalki a must-watch police thriller.

Tovino is impressive as inspector K. He turns heads, entertaining viewers with a power-packed performance. In an industry which has matured watching action thrillers starring the ever favourite Mammootti – Mohanlal duo, Kalki presents the audience with a new- age anti-hero, who walks the walk and talks the talk, but with an original style.
