Mugi interrupts Dayanithi’s conversation and tells him that they have got a lead in the case. After hearing this, Dayanithi praises Mugi during the meeting when he talks about the evidence.

Later, Mugi meets the journalist Shalini to talk about the article. However, he then learns that Shalini too has done some investigation on her own and has some clues to find the killer. He apologises to her and asks her for the clues. Shalini refuses to reveal it to him and tells him that she will give the clues only to their Chief. So, Mugi brings Shalini to the office. He tells the Chief that she has found a lead in the murder case. After Shalini informs Dayanidhi about the lead, the latter asks Mugi to confirm the same and thanks Shalini for her help.
