Worried About Your Colourful Tresses? Fret Not, Upasana Kamineni Konidela’s Got You!

For all the folks out there, stressing about their coloured tresses, Upasana Kamineni Konidela has a solution. Check it out.

Everyone loves the idea of flaunting their hair colour other than the natural blacks and browns. But then comes the dreaded question, “what if it ruins my hair?” And, we get it. Most of us spend hours of effort and money to make sure our hair looks and feels as good as possible. Finally, we found a reason to let go of everything that was holding us back and paint our hair, in the shade the truly brings out personality out. Teal, orange or red, it’s time to push away the fear.

Tollywood’s darling star wife and fitness influencer, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, comes to our rescue once again. The lady, who is known to rock every attire and look given to her, loves colouring her as much as we do. The only difference is, she has taken the plunge, unlike us. This time, as she visited popular celebrity hairstylist, Rod Anker to style her mane. She got rid of her golden blonde streaks and opted for a caramel blonde highlight. The hairstylist who came in at 8 am to pamper the lady, happily answered Upasana’s question, “is colour bad for your hair?”

To this, he spoke about colouring hair at the right time and avoiding re-colouring hair when things go wrong. So, what do we learn? Patience! That’s the key. Educating us further on taking care of the coloured mane, Upasana shared a few must-do’s for healthy, shining hair, and long-lasting colour. She suggests conditioning hair after every single wash. Cutting or trimming your hair every 6 weeks (for men) and 10 weeks (for women) is what Upasana thinks is an ideal duration to maintain healthy hair. Another wise suggestion by her is applying products to the tips of your hair, in order to avoid weighing the hair down and making it appear flat. She also suggests using lighter shades of hair colour at the top to give it a more voluminous effect.

Last but definitely the most important, Upasana shares, “colour or bleach does not damage your hair, if you use the right product, the right technique and keep it for the right amount of time”. So, what are you waiting for? Get going and start colouring!
